The afternoon of today was taken up by a friend and I helping out an elderly friend of my family by setting up a sandbag wall at her house due to the rising Clark Fork (at least I think it was the Clark Fork) to prevent her house from being flooded. So after I came home and my mom was fixing me dinner I was checking my email on my phone. I noticed right away that I got an email from Rick Hughes, the director of the School of Media Arts of which I applied for and was titled "Media Arts Application." I might as well start on to the highlight of my day: I had gotten out of my programming lab (my last class of the week and indeed the semester) and I ended up in the UC. I then decided to get a snack from the country store across campus. then this guy comes up to me and says "Hey, cool hat. Here,I want you to have this book." He then introduced himself as a monk (of which ideology I spaced out on when he said it) of some pre-Budhism-Hindu-ish-maybe ideology. then of course he asked for a $5 donation.
